To make money online with websites, there are 2 schools of thought

1. You can create one giant website for your niche market

This is very time consuming and you would be likely competing with other mega sites. You can create a giant, 50,000 plus page website in the market of your choice, full of informative articles, resources, etc. You may get quality search engine traffic and can earn a good income from a single website. The problem is, what if, for some reason, one of the large search engines later on bans your website for what ever reason they want. Then what do you do? You now have one domain with 50,000 pages that are no longer generating much of an income. This can literally ruin a business (this has happened before to many people)

2. Create hundreds or thousands of mini websites

Let's say you registered a new domain about dogs. The domain cost you under $10. You write 3 articles about dogs in your spare time, find some free dog pictures and put together a simple mini website. You get a hosting plan for $2 per month (or if you have hundreds of names, you can look into a big plan with unlimited domains) After a few months, your website is indexed and you start seeing some traffic. At the end of one year, let's say this domain has earned you $25 in profit.

Ok, this does not seem like a lot of money. But it it is profitable, then why not take this business model, and repeat it hundreds, or thousands of times. At one point, if you have 5000 domains earning you $25 each per year in profit, you would have earned $125,000. And the great thing is, the income will only rise as the internet becomes more populated.
